Our Rental Conditions in Plain Language

Flash Rent A Car keeps conditions simple: passport and a valid licence, cash payment in EUR, USD, TRY or GBP, a deposit that depends on the vehicle class and is shown before you confirm, fuel returned as received, insurance rules explained per vehicle class up front, and flexible changes if you message us early. Everything is in writing before you commit.

Ask on WhatsApp

This page is the practical summary of how renting from us works: documents, money, fuel, insurance, returns and cancellations, written the way we would explain them across a table. The full rental agreement you sign at handover contains the same conditions in formal wording; nothing on this page contradicts it and nothing important hides outside it.

If any point is unclear, ask on WhatsApp before you book. We answer in five languages, and we would rather explain a condition twice than surprise you with it once.

Required Documents

For cars and SUVs you need your passport and a valid driving licence. Latin-script licences are accepted as they are, other scripts together with an international driving permit. For scooters, motorcycles and UTVs the licence category matters: a B licence covers 50cc scooters, while larger bikes need the appropriate A category. E-bikes and e-scooters do not require a licence at all.

Payment and Deposit

Payment is in cash; we accept euros, US dollars, Turkish lira and British pounds (EUR, USD, TRY, GBP). The amount and currency are confirmed in writing at booking, so there is nothing left to calculate at the door.

The deposit depends on the vehicle class and is always shown before you confirm. For 50cc scooters and e-bikes it is simple: you leave an ID card or a cash amount as the deposit, and it is returned at drop-off. You will never learn a deposit for the first time at handover.

Fuel Policy: Return as Received

You receive the vehicle with a documented fuel level and return it with the same level. That is the whole policy. The level is noted on the handover form and confirmed by both sides. There are no prepaid-fuel packages and no refuelling surcharges hidden in the price; fuel stations are plentiful along the coast, so matching the level before return is easy.

Insurance and Damage

Insurance depends on what you rent, and we say it plainly before you book. Cars and SUVs come with insurance options you choose from. 125cc motorcycles carry compulsory traffic insurance only; damage to the bike itself is the renter's responsibility if you are at fault or in a single-vehicle accident. 50cc scooters, e-bikes and all ATV/UTV/buggy terrain vehicles carry no insurance at all: any damage is the renter's responsibility.

Whatever the vehicle: damage caused by violating traffic rules or the rental agreement, or by clear negligence, stays with the renter per the agreement. If anything happens (a scratch, a bump, a warning light), report it to us immediately rather than at return. For accidents, an official police report is required for any insurance to apply; call us first and we guide you through every step.

Delivery, Return and Late Returns

Delivery and return happen at the times we agree: to your address in Mahmutlar, Kargıcak, Alanya center, Oba, Tosmur, Kestel or at Gazipaşa Airport. Plans shift on holiday, and a little flexibility around the agreed hour can usually be arranged. The key word is arranged: message us as soon as you know.

A significantly late return without agreement can trigger a late-return fee under the agreement, because the next customer may be waiting for the same vehicle. Tell us early and we almost always find a solution that costs you nothing.

Cancellations and Changes

Dates change, flights move, plans collapse. We know. Message us as early as you can and we accommodate where possible: shifting dates, swapping vehicle type, or cancelling. The exact cancellation conditions for your booking are shown at booking time, before you confirm, so you always know where you stand.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I have an accident?

Stop safely and call us first. We guide you step by step in your language, including whether traffic police (155) or jandarma (156) need to attend and how the official report is drawn up. Do not arrange anything privately at the roadside; without an official report the insurance cannot apply.

What if the vehicle breaks down?

Call us and stay put: technical faults are our responsibility, not yours. We fix the problem on the spot or bring you a replacement vehicle so your day continues, not your troubleshooting.

Do I pay for normal wear and tear?

No. Normal use (small stone chips, worn pedals, everyday interior traces) is our cost of doing business. You only answer for damage beyond normal use, as defined in the agreement you sign.

Can I smoke in the car?

No, all our vehicles are non-smoking. Smoke settles into the interior and the next guest notices immediately, so a cleaning fee may apply per the agreement if a vehicle comes back smelling of smoke.

What if I return the car dirty?

Normal dust and sand from coastal driving are completely fine; we expect them. Heavy soiling that needs special cleaning, like spilled drinks, pet hair everywhere or mud throughout the interior, can carry a cleaning fee per the agreement.

What if I lose the key?

Report it to us immediately: a lost key is a security issue, not just an inconvenience. The replacement cost is handled per the agreement; the sooner we know, the faster we get you moving again.
